An Alternative Treatment for Joint Pain and Injury Using Your Body's Healing Power

By Dr. Jeffrey A. Murray M.D. & Justin Koehl, PA-C

Whether you have suffered an injury related to performing physical activities or have noticed a slow, gradual increase of symptoms over time, you may find yourself seeking treatment for stiff and painful joints. Before discussing treatment options an initial assessment will be performed, this involves reviewing pertinent medical history, as well as performing a physical examination as it relates to the injured or affected area. Sometimes further imaging studies, such as x-rays or MRI scans may be necessary to make the correct diagnosis. Depending on the underlying conditions, conservative treatment options such as physical therapy, home exercise programs, ice, elevation, and anti-inflammatory medications can be helpful in alleviating symptoms. If conservative measures fail, or the primary problem is more severe, more aggressive treatment options may be necessary, including infections. recently, an alternative therapeutic injection called PRP (platelet rich plasma) has shown promising results in treating common orthopedic conditions.

A recent explosive CBS 2 investigative report is shedding light on Stem Cell Clinics operating in Chicago and the suburbs. In 2018 there were two other similar investigative reports conducted by local investigative teams in Colorado and Florida. Investigators are attending what are being called “educational workshops/seminars” with undercover cameras to expose what is really taking place.

Is it Time for a New Home? How to tell if it's Time To Move

At some point in your homeownership life you'll probably ask yourself if it's time to move. How do you know when the time has come? We've compiled four factors that could influence your decision.

Four Factors That Influence Decisions to Move

Space Needs

Homeowners who consider moving to a new house usually start to think about it when space becomes an issue. It's rare for a person or family to purchase a house and stay there for the rest of their lives. Families grow, nests empty, and homes become either too big or too small to accommodate the family's changed needs. If you're feeling pinched for space or feel like your voice echoes in the house, it may be time to start looking at properties for sale.
